Grimsby’s Fox run clears $30K

Grimsby Terry Fox Run’s $30,000 raised this year pushed the total raised to more than $618,000.

Event organizer Teresa Mueller said she was not sure how this year would go, but area residents came through.

“In spite of record high temperatures, we had an incredible turn out to support Terry’s legacy,” said Mueller.

“We are proud of all our devoted volunteers who come out every year and our student volunteers that may be volunteering for the first time.”

At the other end of that rookie scale is volunteer Wendy Leger.

“We recognized one our leaders, Wendy Leger, who has either participated and volunteered for 30 years with the Terry Fox Foundation: such an honor.  We couldn’t do this without all of you – the participants, sponsors, and donors, so thank you,” said Mueller.
